HARRY E. THOMAS​

Harry joined Karr Barth Associates Inc. in 1973, and ever since has been engaged in a nationwide practice focusing on estate and wealth transfer planning strategies for high net worth, high income individuals. He is also known for the design and implementation of non-qualified executive benefit plans for public companies, including Fortune 500 companies, as well as large privately held companies.

Harry was a consultant to The Equitable Life Assurance Society on technology design, software and system requirements for its field force.

He co-founded Karr Barth Associates, Private Client Group Advisors. For individual clients the focus is to provide creative solutions to fund estate tax liabilities, estate equalization, income replacement, and funding strategies for entrepreneurs and their succession plans. A top priority is reviewing existing polices for potential improvement or for a more appropriate solution. For corporate clients the focus is on Non-Qualified Executive Benefits (409A Plans) through Karr Barth Administrators*, which has 250 plans in 150+ companies with 10,000 executives and administration of over $5.5 billion in assets**. These plans help recruit, retain, and motivate key employees, and include 401k Excess Plans, Supplemental Executive Retirement SERP Plans, Pension Restoration Plans, Executive Life Insurance Plans, Split Dollar Plans, and VEBA Trusts.

He is a Registered Representative and an Investment Advisor Representative of Equitable Advisors, LLC holding FINRA Series 6, 7, 22, 63 and 65 registrations in addition to holding a life insurance broker license.

Harry attended Tulane University, Fairleigh Dickinson University and graduated from The American College of Financial Services with two professional degrees. He is a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table and has qualified every year since beginning his practice. Harry has qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table’s Top of the Table and the International Forum. In addition, he is a member of Finseca, formally the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting.

Harry has also served on the Planned Giving Committee of the American Red Cross and has significantly supported numerous other community charities.

Harry and his wife, Judy, live in Whitemarsh Township, Pennsylvania.
